calendar picker component fast navigation
The new calendar and date picker input components are great, but they are missing a significant functionality which has been available for a long time with the jquery calendar date picker -

The navigation is very basic and does not allow high level of years navigation - it requires monthly scrolling. This is very limiting for users who need to select a date between wide ranges.

This feature was included as a part of the 1.3.0 version of the DateInputs package!

I cant agree more! We are using the Kendo controls however are looking at other third party calendar controls for this very issue.

Telerik/Progress have been making calendar controls for years with a great experience. I dont know why you degraded the user experience other than to get something out quickly.

I concur.
In addition to the year selection mode, a month, trimester and semester selection mode would be super handy.
