Right mouse click - context menu support
Having the ability to create "right mouse click" context menus would be very nice.

You can see a Beta preview of the context menu here:

This is a must have!!! Also I'm looking for nice integration with grid, because I would like to call some actions from context menu.
I need dynamic menu items based of row value, for example if I'll have list of products with different statuses I would like to show context menu based on product status.
If product is on status "waiting" I would like to show 2 options, if other item (row) has other status i would like to have different items in menu.
I build my own solution based on https://github.com/jakiestfu/Context.js, but KendoUI context would be better! :)

Users who are used to using desktop applications like Word or Excel are familiar with context menus. It would be very helpful if Telerik offers something similar.

As I primarily use KendoUI for corporate desktop productivity applications, I am very glad to see that the context menu is finally available via some official KendoUI channel.

The most intuitive gesture for right click on mobile devices is tap and hold/long tap

A context menu is essential for any business web application (yes, desktop) so only for Kendo UI Web

RE: "This can be useful on desktop, but is generally not applicable on mobile."

So, is KendoUI only targeting mobile? I thought Telerik wanted you to use KendoUI for regular web apps too. Why would it need to be useful on mobile to be needed for web apps??

Possibly on Mobile it could be double tap the possibility of a context menu adds a lot more flexibility and increases possible screen real estate greatly even on mall screens prevents possibly having to load another page or view.

This feature is essential for tree view. Please provide it ASAP.

On mobile a context menu is possible too. Take a look at windows 8. Tapping and holding on the screen show the context menu.

Agree, this is required on TreeView - as far as mobile, it appears there are several options.

I see the context menu as a must have for the TreeView control. It is more than likely not something needed in Mobile, but I always need it when using TreeView controls on the web.

This would be very handy for treeview widget to easily add/delete nodes or do some other custom action

You can implement it on mobile using long-press. Check this Stack Overflow post:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3413683/disabling-the-context-menu-on-long-taps-on-android

Maybe something like this can be implemented for iOS? Haven't had much chance to play with mobile web apps enough yet :/

It can be done for mobiles as well, just don't fix it for right click only. You can add trigger event in the constructor.

Thanks for clarifying. We will keep that in mind in the back of our heads.

Yes. My thought was that it would only be useful on non-mobile devices. Primarily I'm thinking of feature rich interfaces such as website administration screens or similar. There are alternatives such as the gmail interface that use a down arrow to signify a drop down menu. But I'm thinking that as the line between desktop and browser app blurs, the ability to have right click actions will become more important. I'm not sure it is the *most* import feature needed, but it may be worth keeping in mind for future releases.
