Add chunking option to upload widget.
I think, it would by great, to have option to chunk files into smaller pieces. It allows better uploading big files. When using PHP backend, there is max post size restriciton. I think, chunking method is faster etc.

Chunking method is very important for using in Windows Azure Webapp.
Uploading a large file might cause out of disk space of a WebApp. So when we want to use WebApp for asp.net mvc uploading, we should chunk the large file to small parts, when a chunk is received, we upload it to Azure Storage immediately, then we can clear the space. After all chunks are uploaded, we merge them by calling Azure Storage API, then we can upload a very large file without out of disk space exception.

We also have requirement for uploading very large files asynchronously.
Very surprised to discover the upload widget does not currently support this.
It has been 5 years since this idea was posted, surely time to do something about it!

We are a government entity working actively on ASP.NET MVC based apps. We are heavily using several Telerik products. This was kind of a set back for us that Kendo MVC Async Upload does not support chunks. Absolutely necessary and I agree with the community in saying that it wont take months or even several days for the team to do so. At the same time, it seems far more important than any other feature.
Please add it ASAP. It would be great for the whole developer community.

This feature is still on hold due to other high-priority items on our pipeline. It will be put on discussion for our next planning meetings, but we couldn't make any definite commitments yet.

Why this feature isn't added yet? It is highly impossible for us and our customers to upload large files like DWGs, support videos or large X-ray images for example.

This is needed. Also I've seen in the forums where Telerik's response usually involves the complaint that a Flash and Silverlight part would be needed. This just isn't true anymore. It's 2015, and the push to kick plugins to the curb is kicking into full swing. And most people have HTML5 compliant browsers now. Also, you advertise Kendo UI as an HTML5/JavaScript solution. The lack of plugin support is implied by that.

Look at https://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload
Please add similar functionality. For such large team this should be matter of days not months.

This is greatly needed by us, too. It's sadly just no possible without other 3rd party libraries to upload more than 2/4GB with IIS (depends on the version).
