Make Material Black available for React
Currently, using npm install --save @progress/kendo-theme-material will get the standard Material Design theme for use across the React Components, but why is Material Black not available this way? (npm install --save @progress/kendo-theme-materialBlack)

With 2021 R3 we now ship all swatches both as files for compilation from source and to our CDN.

Compilation from source is covered by our styling articles, however the CDN is not yet present. As a clarification, the themes are not tied to a particular version of KendoUI for React, Angular, Vue etc. Rather the component suites use a specific version.

We release a new version of the themes every 6 weeks with the latest one being 4.41.2.

This is a list of all the swatches available:

Default

Mostly ported swatches from our themebuilder. Main swatch is the current "default" theme

Bootstrap

As the names suggest, bootstrap 3 and bootstrap 4 swatches are color swatches adapted to look like the respective versions. Main swatch is the current "bootstrap" theme, which is built on bootstrap 5. Turquoise swatches are based on our less flat theme.

Classic

Mostly a sass port of our less themes. Green swatches are new; opal is based on our blue opal less theme; opal dark could be considered our black less theme; silver is our silver theme; silver dark is yet another variation on our dark less theme. Main swatch is our "default" less theme.

Material

Based on material design. Main is our "material" theme, which itself is built around the initial theme of angular.material.io. Material nova is a port, of sorts, of our nova less theme. The rest are variations of colors.

The next version of the themes is going to be released on Oct 18 and the theme version will be 4.42.0, because we have a feature coming in.

Source files for swatches are available in the dist folder of every theme and are named exactly like the files I just referenced, only have scss extension.

Hello,

The black or any other color version of the themes can be downloaded from the theme builder:
