For example; similar to http://www.highcharts.com/stock/demo/arearange
Having area 'scatter' support, such as 'scatterArea', and 'scatterAreaRange', like the existing 'scatterLine', is also desirable.201 votes
It would be great to have a true Timeline control for showing events overtime on a scrollable axis.178 votes
It would be a great help if there was a way to add a Trendline to a line chart in the DataViz collection. This function is available in excel and other similar programs.
The wiki page explains:
Add marker clustering support to the Kendo UI DataViz Map control.
If you are viewing a map with many markers nearby, they should group together so that the map is more pleasing to the eye.
This functionality already exists in the Telerik Silverlight Map control and it would be great to see similar functionality here.
Here's an example of what I want: http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Map/Cluster131 votes
A quarter is not the same as 3 months in the same way that a week is not the same as 7 days. Feb-Mar-Apr is not a standard quarter. Kendo automatically lines weeks up on Sundays. Please consider doing something similar for quarters.89 votes
The navigator in the Stock Chart is great when there's a lot of data to be displayed. Therefore other charts may benefit from having the navigator as well.82 votes
My understanding is this feature for selecting certain time period for line and bar charts:
can be used or extended with related chart to simulate the navigator functionality in the stock chart. Let me know if I am missing something.
I would like to implement something similar to what proposed here:
Basically, it comes to binding shape properties to data: every time data changes, the filling of the shapes is changed accordingly.
Please, guys, this would be really good!74 votes
Display vertical bar charts in following visual appearances apart from the default 2-Dimensional bars:
2D Vertical Bar Column (Default Available)
3D Vertical Bar Column
2D/3D Cylindrical Chart
2D Vertical Cone Chart
2D Vertical Pyramid Chart61 votes
Can you please elaborate further on what specific additional information a 3D look of the chart will bring to you? Also for which particular chart types this information will be especially useful and not available via a 2D representation?
I’m asking these questions because I want to understand what problems you currently have can be solved with such a solution. Thank you in advance for your input.
A heatmap (grid-style at least) is very much useful in any decent project management application. A widget that could remotely connect color-shades to jSON data would be really great.60 votes
Topojson is a much more compact data format for spatial data. Supporting it would allow more complex spatial data to be loaded without slowing down the browser experience.60 votes
As of now there is no right click and double click events on diagram shapes, It will be useful if an event is raised on these particular actions. because these are the obvious actions on shapes54 votes
The DataBound event is the last event that can be bound to at present (other than user interaction events) - this occurs before rendering. In the situation where a chart wrapper is in a hidden div to be displayed and the datasource to be re-read under certain circumstances, it would be useful to have a post render event to ensure the chart is fully drawn before displaying the div.50 votes
Implement containers for the Kendo UI Diagram much like Telerik's RadDiagram for WPF and Silverlight. The containers need to be able to support connections within parent containers (essentially need to be able to create an entire child diagram within each container). These containers must also be able to be moved as a unit when the user drags and drops the containers around on the screen.44 votes
For a column chart, both the column and its (optional) label can be clicked and wired up with seriesClick. However, the cursor only turns into a pointer (hand) when hovering over the column; it does not do this for the label above, even though it's active. I'd like this to be consistent, and thus have hovering over the label turn the cursor into a pointer as well.39 votes
It would be nice to have a widget to display network map of all connected node and links.39 votesKenshin, Kendo UI Team responded
Thank you for the suggestion.
Also are you able to define network mapping relations using our diagram for this purpose (http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/html5-diagram-sample-app)?
At the moment, Kendo only supports Straight Line graphs. It would be nice to support curves like Regression Curves ... because they are useful for representing Analytical Data.

Legend displays series type/style in addition to color. Currently it only supports color and displayed as a colored square. In charts with multiple series types/styles it is impossible to distinguish between the different series based on legend only.34 votes
As they are, plotbands are meaningless. There should be a facility to attach a permanent label or at least a tooltip to the plotband areas.34 votes
