  1. Add multiple date selection & more events to Calendar

Add a multiple date selection to the Calendar. A multiple date selection calendar is very important for professional web applications in many situations. Also, there is a lack of events in the API.
It is always important to provide more events then less.

    Here a few suggestions:
Property year; /// Year displayed by control.
Property month; /// Month (1 to 12) displayed by control.
A method in the API to easily get the selected date(s).
A method in the API to easily set the selected date(s).
An option to indicate if we allow/disallow multi-selection.
A callback event (and passing the…

    • Support binding of DateTimePicker to type DateTimeOffset

Globalized applications use the DateTimeOffset type instead of DateTime since it includes the offset from UTC for different time zones. If DateTimePicker could bind to this type it would simplify UI development. It would have to have the offset or timezone value provided as either a property or as a second binding.

      • Calendar / Multi-month view

It would be great if we can have the option to have a multi-month view calendar. Like the one in the asp.net ajax suite.

        • Add range select to datepicker

Please take a look at https://github.com/dangrossman/bootstrap-daterangepicker

It would be nice to have similar option in DatePicker - to choose range of days.

            Thanks for the suggestion.

At this point you may deem using two date pickers next to each other for specifying date range, if applicable.

          • Add the ability to set min and max time of DateTimePicker

Provide properties to set min/max time of the DateTimePicker, e.g always shows from 8AM to 5PM of everyday.

            • DateTimePicker configuration improvements

It would be great to allow custom configuration of Time drop down in DateTimePicker control.
Since most occurrences in normal system will take place between normal business hours (7am - 6pm), it would make sense to have the time dropdown start at 7am and then go on from there so it would be:
              7am 8am 9am .... 4pm 5pm 6pm ...... 12am 1am etc.
This would improve user experience by putting the most commonly selected times first in the dropdown list and reduce the scrolling the user has to perform.

Thank you for the suggestion. Note that currently you can use separate date and time pickers to achieve what you want.

              • Add ability to disable Daylight Savings or Specify TimeZone on DateTimePicker

Optionally allow for the disabling of Daylight Savings time detection when using the DateTime picker, or to set the TimeZone for the picker manually.

                • Add the ability to select date and time via scrolling display, slot machine, I mean ios style. :-)

Mobi scroll already provides this kind of selection (http://demo.mobiscroll.com/calendar/calendardatetime/#)

but mobiscroll does not offer the full support of a schedule that kendo UI does. But oh how sweet it would be if Kendo also provided support for scrolling.

As far as UX/UI is concerned picking a date and time via slot machine scrolling style is much easier to do on a mobile device.

                  Thanks!

                  • Allow quick entry of dates

It would be helpful if when entering a date into a datepicker control you could just type +7 to have it select 7 days from today. Or -5 for 5 days ago. Or if you just type 0, it would select today. Or type 15 and it would select the 15th of the current month. This would make keying in dates much faster than using the calendar.

                      • Add full Date object support to Date/Time Picker

Currently when creating a Date/Time Picker object by using the time in milliseconds since 01.01.1970 UTC the Date/Time Picker works perfect.

When trying to submit a form containing a Date/Time Picker, the widget will submit the formatted time/date instead of the milliseconds since 01.01.1970 UTC.

There is a workaround to extend the onChange Event and manipulate the value of the input field manually. This might solve the technical problem but now the UTC milliseconds will be displayed inside the widget.

Might it be possible that the widget formats the display date/time and keeps a hidden input field for storing the…

when mouse click in a kendoDatePicker, control will auto choose date part at clicked position, and we can use left and right arrow to go to another date part, use up and down arrow to cycle through all possible value of that part, or input number (month name in the case) directly instead

                          • DatePicker Accepting Relative Values for min/max

For the datepicker control, it would be great if it could support relative values for the min and max range like the jQuery datepicker does. For instance, you can set minDate: 0, which is today. Or you can say maxDate: "+6M" for a max date of 6 months from today (as in their documentation: https://api.jqueryui.com/datepicker/#option-maxDate). These generic expressions make it much easier to set restrictions.

                            • DateTimePicker stepped date and time selection

Add the feature to be able to walk through date, hour, and minute selection in a stepped fashion, similar to the functionality of this DatePicker:

                              http://www.malot.fr/bootstrap-datetimepicker/demo.php

The gist is to first allow for day selection. Then, with the popup still open, give the user the ability to select the hour of the day, and finally the particular minute of that hour.

Thanks for the proposition, Nohinn. I will forward it to our devteam, so far this is not in our short term plans for datepicker improvements.

                                  • Allow custom date for the DatePicker footer

I'd like to be able to specify a custom date in the datepicker footer rather than "today". In financial end of day applications you often want to select the previous business day e.g. the "close date".

                                    • Add support for disabled months and years in date picker

Currently the disabled date function only make the dates disabled, but if you are using the component as a month/year picker through the "depth" property you would also like the months/years to be unselectable if the whole month is included in the disabled date period.

                                      • Timepicker with SpinEditor

Would like Timepicker that works the same as your Windows Forms Timepicker, with a SpinEditor.

                                        • easier time entry format

I get people complaining at the length of lists for timepicker inputs, especially if using small minute intervals.
How about an alternative input mode that allows for faster and simpler input.

This method is great - visual, intuitive and quick.
