    • DataViz chart need a "band" chart type.

Some feature I like to see and really miss is the "band" chart type.

See some good example here: http://www.visiblox.com/visibloxcharts/examples/chart-types/line-and-area/band-chart/

      • Create a standard way to handle errors in the Upload control

When using inline/batch/popup editing for grids, there is a standard way to handle server-side validation errors (from the ModelState) on the client : http://blogs.telerik.com/kendoui/posts/13-08-29/handling-server-side-validation-errors-in-your-kendo-ui-grid

When using the Upload control, the proposed solution is to use XMLHttpRequest.status and XMLHttpRequest.statusText, which is currently not very reliable, and complicated to handle. It's also a non-standard way in ASP.Net MVC, and breaks existing best-practices for error handling.

There should be a way to handle ModelState errors on upload.

        • Grid refresh should independent from pageable builder

The refresh button availability should be indepent from the grid being pageable. The user may want an updatable grid without having page navigator.

          • Dataviz chart series highlight options supported by column chart

The only series.highlight option that seems to be supported by "column" charts is highlight.visible.

The other options, such as border and color should be supported.

              • Setting aggregate(..) on datasource should send unique action to change handler

We have a MVVM object with a change handler.

One of the public properties on this MVVM object is a datasource.

This datasource has some default aggregate configuration, but some aggregate configuration is added later. (see first screenshot)

However, when the dataSource.aggregate(..) method is called the MVVM's change handler fires (see second screenshot). This is ok, but there is nothing to distinguish that the change handler has been fired ONLY because the aggregate configuration has changed. When run some code when the datasource is defined or loaded, but we don't want to run the same code when the aggregates changes.

                • Dataviz chart click events expose e.event.originalEvent

                  As per support ticket 806897

Telerik: "By design both seriesClick and plotAreaClick events of Kendo UI Chart don't contain information about the clicked button or mouse coordinates. We will appreciate it if you submit this idea as a feature request at our UserVoice portal - this way the community would be able to evaluate it and if the suggestion gains popularity we will consider its implementation for future releases."

                  Original request:

We are using mvvm binding to your Chart events

                  seriesClick
                  plotAreaClick

both of these events I am unable to determine which mouse button caused the click.

                  Is is possible…

                      • Miscellaneous text annotations for all charts in Kendo UI DataViz

We need functionality to allow annotations to charts (e.g. free text).

We need to annotate our charts with text that is:

                        - not a series value or note
                        - not a category note
                        - has no relationship with the plot data
                        - not a title

An example is text outlining the source of the data,

We have succeeded in annotating charts with Snap.svg.js but the annotations do not survive the imageDataUrl() function for download (or the svg() function).

Axis & series notes won't achieve what we want to do.

We need to place free text (for example) at the top-left,…

                        • Include a catchable "errorDisplay" function

In followup to my last statement about adding data to the validation events, Kendo UI's validator would be greatly, greatly, GREATLY augmented with an extremely simple function...

                          onErrorDisplay(target, message, invalid) {

                          }

The sole purpose of this function is to allow users to hook into it, and custom handle error display more finely. It is fairly simple to add, look at line 11924 of the kendo source file; At Line 11948, there is the code to show the error message. The onErrorDisplay function would allow for catching that and interpreting it differently if requested.

                                • Keyboard navigation for mobile

                                  At least, including:

                                  1. Tab stop for mobilebutton, mobilebuttongroup, mobileswitch.
                                  2. Selection support for mobilebutton (spacebar), mobileswitch (spacebar/left/right), mobilebuttongroup (left/right/up/down)

MobileButtonGroup and MobileSwitch are elegant replacements for radio and checkbox inputs, but they need keyboard support to improve desktop accessibility.

                                    • Kendo Web - Mobile as ListView - search field should not be scrollable

In Kendo Web - Mobile as ListView - search field should not be scrollable, only listings should be scrollable.

If user scrolls down couple of pages down and now he wants improvise the search, then again he has to scroll back to type in search field. If only listing scrollable then search field is always visible where user can type whenever wanted.
I dont know how this is missed in the current release. This is very basic.

                                      • Make Grid really responsive

Currently when screen sizes get smaller and smaller the grid is squeezing the columns as much as possible. But if there are a lot of columns this will soon hit a size that couldn't be squeezed any more. So the result is scrolling which is giving a bad user experience. However often there are columns in a grid that could be omitted on smaller screens because they aren't that important.
How about adding some type of "class" to the grid column to tell Kendo that this column should only be shown on medium sized screens and up and another one…

                                        • Add support for Labels for Bullet Charts

My marketing department has requested a specific look for a chart. The Moc up image is http://i.imgur.com/Z2hKaei.jpg in order to achive what they are asking I need the Labels to work in the Bullet Charts.

It would also be great if you could add a label to the Target as pictured in the image.
